Do you need the soul to give people identity?

yes ==new answer== Our identity was in place proir to the existence of the soul. First God created light. Then the division of light created the I Am which is each person at the core. As light moved outward to gain experience the different divisions of mind were created as needed to fulfill the plan of creation. The superconscious mind houses this plan. After this creation was the separation or dome between this division of mind and what was to come. Next was created the subconscious mind or soul which is related as Adam in Genesis. Then the conscious mind or Eve was created so we would have a way to learn from physical experiences. This is the marriage created in heaven or superconscious mind. The emotional level of consciousness is Adam's rib which connects the these two divisions of mind. By becoming engrossed in the physical existence, we forgot where we came from and are therefore confused about where we are going and why we are here. These things are spelled out not only in The Bible but other major holy works coded in the universal language of mind,which is the dream language of the soul.
