Why should you pull a dolly out from under a trailer before you disconnect it from the trailer up front?

Because if you try disconnecting the dolly with the trailer still attached, the attachment device (clevice on an A-train, drawbars on a C-train) can flip up suddenly and either damage the pintle, or, even worse, bust the operator in the face really good.
