How old can cockatoos live for?

The average lifespan of a cockatoo is 50-60 years old but there have been 2 cockatoos that have lived more then 100 years; both of them died in the 1990s.

There is currently a cockatoo in the Brookfield Zoo, his name is Cookie. He turned 78 years old on Saturday, June 25th 2011.
