locate the TOP radiator hose and follow it to the engine block. it will be at the end of that line and have electrical wire going to it. probably 2 bolts to remove and the housing will pull off. Viola, theres ya thermostat.

On a 94 ES 300, the thermostat is located at the end of the bottom radiator hose and is mounted to the engine block by three 10mm nuts. I highly recommend getting the thermostat from the dealer. I tried one from Kragen and it didn't fit as tight and was very flimsy compared to the OEM.
