Meaning of a dream giving birth?

I had a similar dream last night. For me, i believe its to do with moving from one stage of my life to another, ie boht my kids are at school this year, and i really need to find a job, which is scary. Maybe that's why the baby in my dream was born premmy and die... it was a terrible dream really.

Scott Peck (author of the road less travelled, great book if you can read it) says " Life is a series of births and deaths", so I guess dreaming of birth can be a metaphor for moving to a different level in your life.

They are jsut my own thoughts.
