Why is my TV buzzing and won't turn on?

A rapid clicking noise is often heard if the main power supply is faulty. It's normally a fairly straightforward repair but it should of course be carried out by a properly qualified technician. If the television isn't still under warranty, it's time to find the local TV repair centre.
