There are 3 main departments around which BMW, as a business is built. These are :-
1.) Region
2.) Customer &
3.) Product
The above 3 represent the core of their model , i.e. when they started as a boutique sports sedan manufacturer.
1.) Region is centric; it's 'Bavaria'.
2.) Customer is centric and represents the sport 'motoring' class; it's 'Motoren'
3.) Product represents their ongoing process in pursuit of Excellence; it stands for' Works'
All departments in BMW therefore fall under the above family of 'core' processes.
