Interchangeability of parts...
The three 'generations' of Windstars were:
* 1995-1998 - with 1998 having an enlarged drivers doors * 1999-2003
* 2005-2007 "Freestar" - even the Ford online Owners Manuals files are named "Windstar" - it was nothing more than a cosmetic name-change to Freestar
Each 'generation' of Windstars were essentially the same vehicles, with most of the differences being more-or-less cosmetic.
This allows for very high interchangeability of parts within the generation.
Two sources of information regarding specific parts:
* Auto parts store - their books and supplier information will detail parts 'application' - which vehicles a given part fits.
* Auto salvage yard - not only specialist with body parts, but also engines, transmissions, and major mechanicals interchangeability I got a 3.8 L 1995 Ford Windstar. Dealing with the MASS AIRFLOW SENCORE what other kind of vehical's will fit the same mass airflow sencore the engine # 128256254 vin # SBH53358 please help me thank you
Other than cosmetic differences, Ford made very few significant changes from 1995 to 1998.
The mechanical components and repair procedures are pretty much the same.
