True love does it only happen once?

Humans are typically multi-partner beings but love is another question. Some people believe that there's only one person for you in life and that some how you are pre-dispositioned to be with that person, but other people (eg. Polygamists) believe that you can be in love with more than one people and sometimes at the same time.
