What does appearance mean for animals?

By appearance what do you mean?

Appearance in another animal or person?

If you are on about a person then appearance doesn't mean anything but if you are on about an animal then it means alot.

Like we would rather a girl than a dog or elephant.

It's just the same with an animal they would rather a different animal than a person.
