Who was the 1936 heavyweight title winner?

The 1936 heavyweight boxing champion was James J. Braddock. He won the title on June 13, 1935, by defeating Max Baer in a major upset. Braddock held the title until he lost it to Joe Louis in 1937. His story was later popularized in the film "Cinderella Man."
