Do you get a lisp when your tongue is pierced?

It depends how much your tongue swells up after you get it done. Mine was pretty swollen, and I lisped for maybe four days; more because it hurt more to enunciate properly than because I really had problems talking. It's been a week now, and I still lisp a little with S and TH sounds, but it's definitely getting less and less noticeable every day. Hope that helps :)
