What are the phases of compiler design?

Each phase transforms the source program from one representation to another. Six phases:

- Lexical Analyser

- Syntax Analyser

- Semantic Analyser

- Intermediate code generation

- Code optimization

- Code Generation

• Symbol table and error handling interact with the six phases.

• Some of the phases may be grouped together.
