How does insulin controls blood sugar levels?

The pancreas (and, specifically, the beta cells in the Islets of Langerhans in the pancreas). However, even though production of insulin occurs in the pancreas, regulation of insulin release and levels occurs via feedback from blood glucose concentrations.
