When should you use an ipill?

An i-pill, or emergency contraceptive pill, should be used within 72 hours (preferably as soon as possible) after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure, such as a broken condom. It is intended for occasional use and is not a substitute for regular contraceptive methods. The i-pill is most effective when taken within the first 24 hours after the event.
