Can you drive with a coil gone and light flashing?

As far as I know you can drive it in for repair when the check engine light is

flashing indicating an engine cylinder misfire . Just avoid any heavy /

rapid acceleration or deceleration because you can damage the catalytic

converter ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician )
