Does Viz Media own the rights to One Piece?

Viz Media holds the English-language publishing rights to the "One Piece" manga and is responsible for its distribution in North America. Additionally, Viz Media also handles the streaming and broadcast rights for the "One Piece" anime in English-speaking territories. However, the original rights to "One Piece" belong to its creator, Eiichiro Oda, and the Japanese publisher Shueisha.
