What technique would be used to separate nails from a plastic bottle?

Do you have nails in the bottle, or do you have a container with nails and bottles in it?

If the nails are in the bottle, you can cut the top off the bottle and dump them out.

If they're in a container, just pick the bottles out by hand. No complex techniques are needed because plastic bottles are big enough to pick up with your hands.
