If it was me, I would think firstly it would be a good idea to find out the average age of brides in the area you're looking to set up in. By targeting these women, your likely to have greater success in obtaining the most clients - as these are the biggest segment. But of course there might be reasons to target a different age group of women. You might even want to set up a same sex wedding planner service? You then have to look the characteristics and lifestyles of the group you chose to find out, what they need and want from a wedding planner, what they expect and how much they can afford to spend.
