Bacteria are ubiquitous (that is everywhere) and while some are harmful (pathogens), most are good for you. And you are covered in them both outside and inside and this is OK.
Thus if a DOCTOR has diagnosed a bacterial infection (a harmful type) on or in your body, the doctor will tell you how to treat it and cure you.
However, if you are not ill then there is nothing to be worried about, simply keep yourself clean by washing with soap and water each day and you will be fine.
Note. Completely removing the good bacteria is harmful and leaves you open to infections caused by other types of organisms (funguses).
