In the end Turtle discove's Mr. Westing's secret... he never really died. He lived still, in discuise as Sandy McSOUTHers, Barney NORTHrup, Julian EASTman, and Sam WESTing. The four winds, like it says in the will. 'The one who ears the windfall will be the one to find the FOURTH.' Four people. In the end Sam Westing finally dies of old age, with the now adult Turtle by his bedside.
