The sWord and the pen are instruments of
action and speech. They are the support of nations; any nation
bereaved of them will lack in strength. They are the pillars of
authority that declare who shall be lowered and who shall be raised
[in status], and at the forefront of the dispute that arises from
them are what is need of now pen or weapon.
I stand with the mighty pen to oppose powers
of great injustice which is created now a days by weapon.
The pen is need of time because now the
problem which we are facing is the result of injustice. Ok what are
the problems which we are facing? Of course they are terrorism ,
energy crises ,injustice. How can we get rid of these through
weapons, which can only create violence.Violence can only make
things worse it cannot solve our problems. History is witness of
this Gandhi acquired India's independence through nonviolent
protests and writing. He never used the sWord to get what he
wanted. I am not saying only pen can solve the problem but it
connect one's mind with another, to persuade the reader to take up
the view which the writer holds on a particular problem.
There is some other prespective of our society
we need a peaceful and happier society. I believe Words can change
people. A sWord cannot. The pen represents Words. The Words can be
even more powerful than a sWord. Similarly to a sWord, Words can
bring someone down and hurt them. But a sWord cannot make people
feel good or help them. That is an ability only the pen has in this
case.
Some believe the sWord is the one to stop evil
forces. The sWord must be used to crush evil forces. However, the
opposition is flawed because a wound can heal, but Words last
forever. Ideas on paper are scarcely forgotten, and the pen has the
ultimate power to unite people and start a movement.
The sWord may be able to physically inflict
more damage than a pen can, but a pen has the power to spark a
revolution.
