Why is the greatest reason why Spaniards came in the Philippines?

The Spaniards came to the Philippines by accident. They were looking for a route going to Asia because they wanted to go to Spice Islands where spices like cinnamon, pepper, cloves, etc. could be found. The Spice Islands was actually the Moluccas Islands which is now part of Indonesia. But they reached the Philippines instead.
