Is the ancient Egypt government democracy or aristocracy?

Egypt is typically termed an Illiberal Democracy. While there are democratic elections often times the results are nullified by the state or in the past there would be only one candidate. Since the Arab Spring Revolution in Egypt, Egypt has become more democratic, but SCAF (the Egyptian Army), still holds a lot of power, making the Egyptian State a hybrid between a democracy and military junta.
