When did a military jet crash in Baldwin park?

It was in the early 50's (exact date unknown). The plane was an air force jet fighter that crashed on the grounds of Margaret Heath School. The pilot reportedly chose the school grounds since it was on a sunday. He did not eject but stayed with the plane and of course died in the crash.
