Do people kill eagles

I would kill them if I could see them. They have depredated our farmstead, killing many poultry and pet cats. Protection of birds of prey is as senseless as protecting coyotes.

It is foolish and short sited to kill owls. They are natural predators of RODENTS who do far more damage to farmland than owls. Most responsible farmers try to encourage owls because they are such good at hunting rodents.

Some people kill owls because they don't know any better. Some kill them because they want trophies. Some because they don't understand what good pest controls, owls are.

Indiscriminate killing of owls has caused massive problems with unchecked rodent populations in the past.
