Does the state of Alabama have a desert?

No.

Alabama is located in the Carolinian division of the Austral Zone. The second division consists of the Sonoran desert found in parts of CA, NV, AZ, UT, and other states plus N. Baja and Mexico. It's far too humid in AL to find the dry conditions needed to have "true" desert.
