Can you dye your formica countertops?

Not sure! I am wondering that myself. My laminate is yellow and you can see the black edges where it is cut. I was wondering about Raven Oil that you use to colour leather shoes .... or even a permanent marker!! A black surface would probably be better than the yellow, especially given that I have lots of white in the kitchen.
