How does deforestation affect the nutrient cycle?

1. If there is no tree roots that made it able for soil to change chemicals and nutrients, the quality of soil will decrease. It simply means that there will be no more circulation of chemicals and nutrients between the roots and the soil & atmosphere.

2. Many harbivorous and omnivorous animals will lose a main source of food in the particular affected area. It can lead to disastrous effects on the ecology in the particular area.
