Do you write an autobiography of a tree?

An autobiography is the story of a person's life told or written by the person him or herself.

A tree is not able to speak or write, however, a tree leaves a record of what has happened to it during its life as tree rings. One ring per year. One could describe a cross section of a tree showing all the tree rings as the autobiography of the tree.
