What are the disadvantages to the maglev train?

It's entire infrastructure and design is so radical, it is unpractical to change over to it. Plus, the maglev is not that good for freight transport. It has never really been tested for freight. It has founds it's home at small transport systems such as colleges, amusement parks, and some testing grounds that offer revenue commuter services.
