Why is there life on Earth and no life on Venus?

Because Earth's atmosphere contains oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, three gases vital to life of most organisms. Also, Venus' atmosphere is far too thick with greenhouse gases, and too close to the Sun to create high temperature levels.
