Why can't a tenon saw cut curves in wood?

maybe because it is actually a square tube with chiseled edges with a drill bit in the center of the square tube-- The drill bit drills out most of the wood meat and the square chiseled tube slices down the sides of the wooden hole making it square thus creating a tenon hole.
