What is the difference of reincarnation and life after death?

Reincarnation is the belief that you come back as another person or animal. As far as I know there are no specifics as to whether you would remember your previous life or not.

Life after death refers to a number of beliefs. The most obvious being Heaven and Hell (or equivalent) as people's bodies' get left behind and their souls go to another place after dying. Other theories are things like ghosts/spirits/demons and things like that.

There are many more beliefs too which I don't know enough about to qualify writing about but I'm sure you could find quite easily on google or Yahoo etc.
