What should you do when the pedal is stuck to the floor?

Put the vehicle in neutral and shut it off.

Make absolutely certain when you shut the car off that you don't rotate the key back too far or you will lock the steering wheel and be unable to steer the car. Just turn the key far enough to shut off the engine. Be careful.

Just another thought... once you shut off the motor the car will be very difficult to steer and brake as the Power Steering and brake systems will be shut down.
