Cats and humans both possess a collarbone (clavicle) that allows for more flexibility in the shoulder region, which dogs lack. Additionally, humans have a more developed and differentiated wrist structure, including individual carpal bones, while cats also have a similar arrangement but with unique adaptations for climbing. Both species also have a more pronounced thumb-like digit (the pollex in humans and the dewclaw in cats) compared to dogs, which do not have a functional equivalent.
