What would doctors do if you fractured your ankle 2 years ago and never did anything for it and it still bothers you?

They would probably do surgery if it didn't heal properly. There may be more damage to it because you never did anything for it. They would either put anchors in it or put some type of metal in your ankle to reconnect the two bones.
