Why is the longest nose on record 11 inches long?

it's a brain teaser the joke answer is...because if it were 12 inches, it would be a foot... stupid I know but my brother found it in some dumb book. Just google it next time... if there were a freak with an eleven inch nose he probaly would've killed himself long before he set any records.
