If you can't detect subliminal or supraliminal messages or stimuli how do you know which is which?

i actually can dectect supraliminal messages. i do it every day. i also learned i have been programed to speak in supraliminal messages. they only work on a weaker mind

My answer differs from above.

Subliminal messages are recorded to be inaudible and sent entirely to your subconscious mind while supraliminal mean "messages send with the speed of light" which is impossible. we can not travel with the speed of light nor we have invented speed of light recorders.

Stimuli are same as subliminal "subliminal stimuli."
