The Anasazi, also known as the Ancestral Puebloans, were the first among these groups to use irrigation. They developed sophisticated agricultural practices, including the use of irrigation systems to support their farming in the arid regions of the American Southwest. In contrast, the Inuit and Mound Builders had different lifestyles and did not rely on irrigation for their subsistence.
