What does an angle is its own supplement mean?

If you add the measure of any angle to its supplementary angle you get 180 degrees.

So if the angle is its own supplement, then

adding the angle to the angle again (the second one being the supplement) = 180 deg.

Thus the angle = 90 degrees.
