Why didn't John the Baptise enter the kingdom of god?

According to Christian theology, John the Baptist did not enter the Kingdom of God because he lived under the Old Covenant, which was based on the Law and the prophets. Jesus indicated that the least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than John, suggesting that the New Covenant, which comes through faith in Christ, offers a new relationship with God. John's role was to prepare the way for Jesus and to point others toward salvation, but he himself was not part of the New Covenant established by Christ's death and resurrection.
