Yes! Hindu's have special necklaces. Married women wear 'Mangalsutra" i.e. Mangal = wellbeing; sutras=Thread with beads(gold, precious stones,black stones). Mangalsutra is mark of being dedicated and destined to the married husband for life. Mangalsutra is also offered red and yellow powder (kumkum & haldi) after offering to lord during prayer by married ladies after applying the same to their forhead as Bindi. All age Hindu men and women including married men do wear neckless with picture of local god or goddess to ward of evil influences as well for well being and prosperity.
