How long do you bake a loaf of bread for?

About 30 to 35 minutes.

The actual time depends on the size of the loaf, and on the temperature of the oven. Some cooks like to start baking at about 240 degrees C (460 deg F) and after about 10 minutes reduce the temperature to 180 deg C (350 deg F). Others like to keep the temperature constant at about 220 deg C (430 deg F).

The time also depends on whether the oven is fan-forced, which speeds up the bake, and on the position of the loaf in the oven; higher racks cook faster.

Rolls take about 20 minutes.
