for BaSO4, make the original solution acidic with hno3 and then ad BaCl2. the white percipitate of baso4 is the confirmation.
for baco3, heat the acidified original solution until gas forms. if there is gas, and if the gas, when bubbled through a solution of ba(oh)2 percipitates a cloudy white baco3, then that means there was baco3 in the original solution
