Characteristics The Central Highlands

They are divided into three groups (in Canada)

-Western Cordillera

-Appalachian Mountains

-Innutian Mountains

This area is great for mining, but not good for agriculture due to thin soil and large amounts of bedrock. Various different types of rocks are found. Mountain ranges with interior plateaus are very prominent. Lastly, these formed when the Pacific and North American plates collided causing faulting and folding.
