1. Eligible Passport
• You must hold a passport from an eligible country, mainly:

• Passport must be valid at the time of travel.
2. Be Outside Australia
• You must be outside Australia when you apply and when the visa is granted.
3. Genuine Temporary Stay
• You must genuinely intend to visit Australia temporarily for:
o Tourism
o Visiting family or friends
o Short business activities (meetings, conferences)
• You cannot work or live in Australia.
4. Stay Duration
• Stay up to 3 months per visit
• Visa is usually valid for 12 months, allowing multiple entries.
5. Health Requirements
• You must meet basic Australian health standards.
• Medical checks may be required in some cases.
6. Character Requirements
• You must have no serious criminal history.
• You must not pose a risk to Australia’s security or community.
7. Financial Capacity
• You should have enough funds to:
o Support yourself during your stay
o Pay for your return or onward travel
8. No Outstanding Government Debts
• You must not owe money to the Australian Government, or you must have arrangements to repay it.
9. Compliance With Visa Conditions
