Who started dogstrust?

Dog Trust was founded in 1891 by a group of individuals, including the pioneering animal welfare advocate, Lady Mary Teague. Initially established as the National Canine Defence League, the organization aimed to promote the welfare of dogs and combat cruelty. Over the years, it evolved into Dog Trust, which is now the largest dog welfare charity in the UK, focusing on rehoming and caring for dogs in need.
