New York borders the North Atlantic Ocean, but doesn't have any oceans in the state. If you are looking for the amount of lakes, this number exceeds 200. A few of these would include Lake Champlain, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and let's not forget Lake Oneida which is the biggest lake that is completely in the state.
