Why must the flux of the two regions be the same?

The flux of the two regions must be the same because of the law of conservation of mass. This principle states that mass cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred or transformed. Therefore, in a closed system, the total amount of mass entering a region must be equal to the total amount of mass leaving that region in order to maintain mass balance.
